Machine Washing and Drying the Roxas Wristband
Machine Washing and Drying the Roxas Wristband
May 06, 2024
I test washed a Roxas wristband to check its durability through the wash and dryer. Air-drying is recommended to preserve the fabric, but sometimes it's easier to toss it into the dryer:
Machine Washing + Machine Drying:
Machine: Top loading washer. Temperature: Cold water. Cleanser: Regular Detergent. Dryer: Regular dryer with normal settings + dryer sheet.
I measured the wristband beforehand and added it to a cold water wash with regular detergent. After the cycle it was simply wet and clean and remained intact with no fuzziness. The dryer was the tricky part as heat tends to damage elasticity.
Results of machine drying: I measured it post-machine drying and the measurements were the same. The elasticity did not feel any different, it was still stretchy and the fabric felt the same. It was very mildly more fuzzy. It was still slightly damp on the inside and I turned it inside out to dry overnight.
Overall the wristband can be machine washed and dried, although the fuzziness may increase over subsequent use, washing, and drying (like most normal clothing).
Disclaimer: Please note that washer and dryer machine brands, spin cycle times, and temperature can differ, results can vary. The safest way to wash your wristband would be to machine wash or hand wash and air dry. The above was a test wash and test dry and should not be considered a definitive outcome. Please wash and dry with your best judgment.
